Why We Love It: This adorable Uptown Girl Alpaca Dog Dress from Alqo Wasi is made of Alpaca fiber and is silky to the skin and often wearable to people allergic to wool. The Alpaca fiber is a superb source of shine, texture and beauty. Native Andean herdsmen shear them every other year at the onset of the rainy season. Alqo Wasi (which means "Dog Home" in Quechua, the language of the Incas) offers hand knitted Peruvian dog clothes that are a real treat to you and your dog. You can truly see the superb craftsmanship and you are helping to preserve and ancient cultural tradition of using these quality fibers to hand craft clothing. Dear Human,
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Length
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
Girth
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
Neck
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
